nesting wooden dish

$68.00

KAMI Schale - Kami means paper in Japanese, referencing the shear, smooth texture of these lightweight dishes. These triple nesting wooden ‘schale’ (german for dish/bowl/husk) can be used as coasters, lids to keep your coffee warm, or small serving dishes for sugar cubes/honey comb etc.

I brought these in because they reminded me of a cedar mug cover I found in Japan many years ago. It has sadly disappeared but these are a more refined version and I use mine daily to cover my tea in my studio. The lips also make them great for holding rings, earrings and other special items.
